The Pyramids of Egypt

The Pyramids were regarded by the ancients as one of the seven wonders of the world. The great pyramid of Giza was the world's tallest building till the construction of the Eifel Tower in 1889. It was 146.59 m high, and the world's first stone monument. Built during the period 2650 BC and 1069, they are generally regarded as pharaohs tombs. However this is not the most recent academic opinion. It is clear,that they exhibit scientific and technical knowledge in some respects superior to ours and demonstrate a deep religious and symbolic significance. Luxor Temple
