Primož Trubar(1508-1586) was born in Rašca in Dolenjska region(Lower Carniola) of Slovenia. He established the protestant church in Slovenia and produced 20 books in Slovenian language, the first ever written. His translations of New Testament, school primer and Cathechism laid the foundation for the development of Slovenian literary language.
