The annual multicultural Christmas celebration for the senior citizens has become a feature of Melbourne life. Slovenian community was represented for a number of years at Oz Christmas Festival - with a song and dance performance and a handicrafts exhibiton. Slovenian National Council of Victoria twice received an award for the high quality of their contribution to the celebration.

Community Photolog

The collection of albums represent celebratory events in the life of Slovenian community in Australia and Slovenia.

Australia has become a second home for about 25,000 Slovenes, who started to arrive in greater numbers since 1950. They have settled in all the states of Australia, the majority in Melbourne and Sydney area.

The series of albums has been inaugurated with events in the Melbourne Slovenian community and parallel traditional celebrations in Slovenia, reflecting the common experience of two homelands and frequent exchange visits.
