Olympic Resources for Languages Teachers
The joint project between the Australian Olympic Committee and the MLTAV resulted in the development of the resources package which includes Teachers Notes, 5 lessons including
worksheets and teaching materials, additional activities and a document highlighting VELS standards addressed through the resources.
The resources introduce students to the symbols, countries, sports and training involved in the Olympics and are also designed to prepare students for a whole school Olympic Day which can be held in the target language.
The resources are written for students at VELS level 4 and can be adjusted to suit higher/lower levels. They are available in word format so they can easily be tailored to suit individual student and program needs.
An exciting package of Olympic resources is now available in 9 Languages:
