First Slovenian Australian secondary school scholarship and exchange program initiated by Aleksandra Ceferin, ISSV, in 2002, financed by Office for Slovenes Abroad of Republic of Slovenia. Scholarship program was for secondary students of Slovenian language at Victorian School of Languages, and supported directly by Vipava and Šentvid Classical Gymnasium Schools in Slovenia. Andrew Bratina was selected as first Slovenian VCE student (matura) who attended Vipava Gymnasium in south Slovenia in 2002 on scholarship. In 2003 scholarships were awarded to three students : Melissa Bratina, Michelle Kohek, Natalie Postruzin. The scholarship covered airfare, full board and tuition at each school. A learning program was developed by the Slovenian Faculty at Victorian School of Languages, with assessment tasks and learning outcomes of the exchange program.
